Clary Sage Essential Oil

$21.72 - $43.50

Description

Salvia sclarea - origin Austria, flowers, steam distilled

Clary Sage is a widely useful medicinal oil, but this variety we have procured is one of the most jaw-droppingly gorgeous clary sages we have ever smelled.  It is gentle, yet persistent, floral in all the right amounts and ways and yet still very clean and easy to wear.  Used alone it would be a gorgeous personal scent.  Our first sniff was heavenly and we cannot wait for our customers to get to experience this as well.

Clary Sage has many uses for balancing women's bodies, and was a common herbal treatment in Middle Ages Europe.  It is native to Southern Europe and is also grown in the Mediterranean region, Russia, the USA, and the UK.  The plant is related to common garden Sage, but has a charming, gentle aroma compared to its culinary cousin.  The aroma is sweet, slightly floral, herbaceous, and has tea-like notes.

Women especially benefit from the balancing effects of Clary Sage. One of its traditional uses has been ameliorating menstrual and uterine complaints.

Clary Sage may contain up to 75% linalyl acetate, which is a relaxing compound.  The aroma can have an intoxicating effect when inhaled for an extended period of time.  Limit exposure while drinking alcohol, as this effect may be compounded.

Clary Sage is not recommended for use while pregnant.

Clary Sage essential oil is nontoxic, non-irritant, and non-sensitizing, making it very suitable for skin application.  It is excellent for diffusion and perfumery blending as well.

Blending: This oil is considered a middle note, which will provide depth, roundness, and tie other notes together. Clary Sage works well with a broad range of oils including Bergamot, Juniper, Cypress, and Fir Needle, floral notes like Geranium, Palmarosa, Ylang Ylang, Rose, Jasmine, and Lavender.  Frankincense or Vetiver could make a good base note, as might more unusual perfumery compounds like Hay or Tobacco absolutes.

Aromatherapy uses: Anxiety, stress, nervous tension, migraines, digestive system complaints, uterine cramps and imbalance, respiratory system health issues such as asthma and cough, muscular aches and pains, skin issues such as acne, dandruff, inflammation, and general skin health.

All essential oils bottled by Blissoma come from trusted suppliers that we have worked with for years now for production of our own product line.  We are now offering these oils to our retail and professional clients because of their exceptional qualities.  Every oil is 100% pure and natural with no adulteration or alterations.

Due to oils being lighter than water 9 g is 10 ml volume (.3 oz).  25 g is about 28 ml volume (1 oz).  We are selling by weight because it is more exact.
